Loyal, happy, social, clever! Honestly, the Best Dogs EVER!
Stevie was given as a gift when she was 8 weeks old; however, the placement did not work out. She came back to us under fed, with two ear infections and a UTI infection. She was not socialized well and because of that developed severe anxiety.
BUT, since she's been with us, she has made great strides. In our home, with our dogs, she is the perfect dog. Friendly, affectionate, smart, obedient and loyal. Once she trusts you, she is the perfect dog. However, when meeting someone for the first time she becomes overwhelmed and fearful. She barks and sounds vicious, but I assure you she is not. We have learned that if you do not look her in the eyes, she does not react with such intensity, and if you allow her to come to you, she does much better. Stevie is super smart, and loves to play ball. She would be excellent at agility.
If interested in Stevie you would need to commit to ongoing training and socializing.
Gigi had our first litter in 2021. She has had 2 litters, but unfortunately she had to have 2 c-sections and both resulted in uterine infections. Therefore, we have decided to retire her.
Gigi is a beautiful girl. She loves being a princess, and loves undivided attention. Therefore, she is NOT good with little children. She cannot be placed in a home with children under the age of 10. BUT, Gigi is a great cuddler, she does excellent on leash, and can be taken anywhere.
However, Gigi would be considered to be on the more anxious side of the spectrum. She was a COVID baby! That being said, you need to let her approach people when SHE'S comfortable. If someone gets too close, and she feels threatened, she may growl. However, she has never attacked or bitten anyone. It is all about knowing Gigi and managing her anxiety. At home she is very protective of her house and family, so when people enter she barks...A LOT. I generally crate her until everyone comes in and gets settled. Then she settles and does much better.
